It was a great experience to take part in SETAC Europe’s Annual Meeting in Brussels. Along with the SAFR team, there were between 2,000 and 2,500 scientists, assessors, regulators and managers from academia, business and government, representing an average of 60 countries.
Our colleague Dr. (Ms.) Smadar Admon presented ‘SAFR®: Applying a new hazard and exposure assessment approach for responsible fire safety solutions’ as one of the case studies within the risk assessment discussion. It was rewarding to listen to multidisciplinary approaches examining the impacts of chemicals and technology on the environment. We found it interesting to be part of an open forum for scientists and institutions working together to boost education, research and innovation around environmental issues and their management and regulation. Do not miss SETAC Europe next year to be part of the conversation!
